Pleasantly surprised by this former rest home / hospital, there are still some tracks of his past and many documents of time. The hospital site was partially demolished, the only part that remains is a building dating from 1867 and a chapel; the whole was originally managed by nuns and medical staff. It is little after the 1st world war that the hospice opens to the poor, welcoming people and helping them from an administrative point of view such the CPAS today. During the 2nd world war wounded were treated here and the building was even bombarded. As always in medical wasteland we feel that little something special in the air, it must be suffering and sadness.
